Our story

Why This Gala Matters

Mental health is in crisis, and Nevada ranks 51st in the nation for youth mental health services (Mental Health America, 2022). A staggering mental health provider shortage leaves many without access to critical care, forcing people to suffer in silence. The Avery Burton Foundation (ABF) is committed to changing this reality by providing education, training, and scholarships that expand access to mental health support and resources.

Day 1: Mental Health First Aid Certification | June 6, 2025 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Before the celebration begins, we invite you to take part in a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training session, where students learn lifesaving techniques to support those in crisis. This hands-on training will give you the skills and confidence to become a Mental Health Champion in your community. Thanks to Arana Software, this is a free training with limited seating. First-come, first-served so click here to get your name on the list.

Day 2: The ABF Scholarship Gala
| June 7, 2025 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

An elegant evening of inspiration, philanthropy, and celebration awaits! The ABF Scholarship Gala will feature:
