The Avery Burton Foundation is a training center for Mental Health First Aid certifications for Adults and Youth. A recent report from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas tells us that Nevada ranks 51st and LAST among the 50 states and the District of Columbia in overall mental health rankings. We’re changing that.
Mental health first aid training helps bridge the gap between people who are struggling and getting them the resources that they need. At the Avery Burton foundation we want every family and every company and every organization to have somebody who is trained in mental health first aid, so they know how to help someone in a mental health crisis.

Virtual Mental Health First Aid Training August 30th, 2025
About Mental Health First Aid Training
Would you know what to say if someone told you they were struggling with their mental health? Being prepared can make all the difference!
Join our virtual Mental Health First Aid Training on Saturday, August 30th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, you’ll learn simple, effective ways to recognize the signs of a mental health challenge and how to help with confidence and empathy.
This one-day course is designed for anyone who works with adults (teachers, social workers, managers, or community leaders). You don’t need a background in counseling to take this class, just a heart for helping.
The cost is $197 and includes your MHFA certification and helpful resources. Register below by paying $197 and we will email you the sign-up link.
This class is presented by MHFA Trainer Christina Aldan and Reggie Burton. Class size is limited to 30 learners. There will be short, 5-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break.
We use Zoom video conferencing (https://www.zoom.com/) to teach this certification class.
